Thawing a Frozen Whole Chicken

There are two methods we use for thawing our frozen chickens:

  1. Place chicken in a bowl and fill the bowl with cold tap water to cover about 1/2 to 3/4 of the chicken with water with the chicken still in the bag. Leave the chicken for 8 hours and it will be thawed fully.

  2. Place the chicken in the fridge and leave for 2-3 days and chicken will be fully thawed and ready for cooking.
